I remember being eight years old and having my writing teacher tell me that I was destined to be a writer. You really have a grasp on this whole writing essays thing, they said. Back in elementary school, writing was like math. There was a question and you had to answer it in a certain way. I guess this is why I excelled, because math had always been my best subject.
Why do you like going to school?
I get to see my friends. I get to learn new things. I get to go to recess. Check.

I’ve only been learning Korean (formally) for about four years now, and although I’m far from mastering the language I think I’ve gotten pretty far in a short amount of time. Learning a new language can sometimes be a pretty daunting task, but if you have the motivation and the right methods it can definitely be enjoyable. So, I’ve laid out a few things that have helped me throughout my language journey.

A few months ago, I wrote a post about being an ENFP but only discussed it in a very general sense. In this post, I want to go more in depth about some of the traits that are commonly associated with the ENFP personality type and whether or not they apply to my own personality.

2017 is (unbelievably) right around the corner. This is going to be a really big year for me because of graduation and moving to Korea, so I have a list of goals that I’m dead set on accomplishing this year. Continue reading “Goals For 2017”
Since we’re in the middle of the holidays, I thought I should do a travel-themed post. Many people will be going to visit family and friends during this time, so its good to know some things that are necessary for travel. These are just a few of my travel necessities.

I’m back again with my second installment of the Disney World Orlando series. As you can tell from the title, I really love Animal Kingdom and I think it’s the best park by far. There’s so many great rides and shows to see, but it also has a totally different character from the other parks which makes it incredibly unique. Today, I’ll be commenting on a few of the rides that are the most memorable for me. Continue reading “Animal Kingdom Is Actually The Best Park”
These past two days have been pretty difficult y’all. I’ve gone through so many different emotions in the past 48 hours and frankly, now i’m just exhausted. Many of my classes have taken time out to talk about the outcome of the presidential election, and while conversations like these are needed, I’m also having a hard time with them. Although I’m not ready to write a whole post on my thoughts and emotions about this election and it’s outcome, I wanted to write a post that came out of my recent reflections.
Today’s post is about how my identity came into formation.

This is a story of how I started seeing the world in a different light. Even though I grew up in a Christian home, we never did much more than go to church on Sundays. So, throughout these past few years I’ve been kind of going back and forth with my faith and what it really means to be Christian.

I’ve spent a good chunk of my childhood going to Disney World Orlando thanks to personally knowing an employee. Because of this, I’ve decided to do a Disney series where I talk about some of my favorite and least favorite attractions. Since Disney is such a big place, I’m dividing it up by park starting with Magic Kingdom.

Every year, I try and tell myself that this will be the year where I’ll finally become a morning person….and without fail it never works out.
I feel like being a night person is just so much more fun. I get most of my best work done between the hours of 10pm and 3am. For whatever reason, when the sun is up all I want to do is sleep or waste time doing God knows what.
At the beginning of this semester, I really did try. I went to bed every night at 11pm and set my alarm for 8am, even though my first class started at 10. Every morning, I would wake up, turn off my alarm and go back to sleep until 9. Then at 9, I would still want to sleep more, even though I had just slept for ten hours.
What is life.
Maybe when I go out into the real world with a 9-5 job, it’ll come naturally. Until then, I guess I’m stuck with my horrible nocturnal habits.
Until next time,
